THESE ARE OUR CATS! THIS IS MY BLOG!

Rosie and Charley are siblings and best friends. We adopted them
from friends who rescued their little family.

Bugsy showed up on our street on a hot summer day - tiny, hungry, and as it turns out, very lucky.
He thinks Charley is his mum!

There is also the occasional litter of foster kittens . . .

These felines have been kind enough to share the house with us.
We thought we might share them with you.

Mama No Mo'!

Dear Prudence had her surgery on Friday and she is doing very well thanks to the folks at Golden State Animal Care Center in Long Beach. My bank account is happy, too - about $55 for spay and vaccinations - WAY less than just about any private practice. Pru's spending her recovery days in the guest room in the company of little Bella, who is recuperating from a leg injury. Got wrasslin'?

Pru and Bella spooning. Mmmmm, pain meds . . . .

Bella feels well enough to play with a fuzzy, just not with her rowdy siblings.

And just in case anyone is wondering, she's called "Bella" because she is lovely and she used to be called Little Belly. Nothing to do with the upcoming Twilight release!

Video of Pru playing, pre-surgery.  I'm sure she'll be back to her playful self soon!

Meet Jackson's New "Parents"!

Julie and John came down the hill for book club on Friday night, and they decided to adopt the rowdiest kitten of the bunch. The little blue kitten, now named "Jackson", will have plenty of company with Dolly (kitty) and Schatzie (schnauzer) when he goes to live with J+J in a couple weeks.  Congrats, "Mom and Pop"!

Jackson pestering Charley.

"Come on - let's play!"

A rare quiet moment.

Put a fork in him - he's done.

Purrl and Sage - Love at First Sight

Sage, age 11 and as of today a 5th-grade graduate, fell absolutely head-over-heels for Purrl. It was clear during the time they spent together playing and cuddling that the feeling was mutual!

Chow time!  Sage helps with supper.

Sage and and her mom, Kim.  Hmmmm . . . I wonder what name Purrl will get when she goes to her forever home?  Congratulations, Sage!

Woo Hoo! We have embedded video!

Hope you enjoy - there are more to come. (Thanks for your help, Joel!)  To see all videos, go to http://www.youtube.com/user/kellyskittehs.

Gotta Love 'Em

How to give a kitten a bath:  hold tight, lick away, repeat.

Ah, yes - Mowry is a girl who appreciates the finer things in life.

"There's a mouse in here somewhere, Rosie. It says so right here on the box."

Seven in a basket. I swear I did NOT put them in here.

Fuzz-shine Clementine - oh my darlin'!

"Don't hate me because I'm adorable."  -Purrl
